Pearl Millet is an upright annual grass that grows quickly in the summer heat. It has low water use making it quite drought and heat tolerant. Pearl Millet is not overly competitive in blends, unless mixed with other warm species. It regrows after cutting or mowing, and is tolerant of low soil fertility.
