Alsike Clover (Trifolium hybridum)

Cool Season

Alsike clover is a short lived semi-erect perennial that loves low land with adequate moisture. Alsike is not very drought or salinity tolerant. Winter hardiness is good, so it will persist in the wet low land. There is a bloat risk, and Alsike is dangerous to feed to horses. It can become a weed in moist areas.
